Studies On Weiyin’s Review "the Talk Of The Town"

Weiyin is one of the most famous review columnists since1980s. His commentspublished in “The Talk of the Town” column have once significantly affected publicopinion in Guangdong.Based on the reviews of Weiyin and other related material, and on the basis ofthe basic elements in news comments, text analysis and case analysis as the mainresearch methods..The core idea of this study was based on the review of topicselection method, demonstration way, conception, technique and style structure, thecomments of style; In turn by Weiyin’s personal factors and the external conditions,this paper analysis the causes behind the comment writing style, and probes into thesignificance and enlightenment of Weiyin’s comment.This paper is divided into four parts: firstly, Weiyin and the “The Talk of theTown”.Brief outline of Weiyin’s newspaper career of life,introduces the origin of“The Talk of the Town” and its social influence; Second, analysis of Weiyin’scomments, analyzes Weiyin’s style of creation from four aspects of demonstration,literary style, the topic selection, conception; Three, discuss the cause of the style ofWeiyin’s comments. From the two aspects of internal cause and external cause probesinto its writing style; Four, discuss the significance and enlightenment of Weiyin’scomments.The author believes that the characteristics and the unique writing style ofWeiyin’s comments, and the ten years like one day’s insisting on writing comment,the bull by the horns of the boldness of vision, have great reference and enlightenmentmeaning for the news commentary workers.
