| With the rapid development of the economy, the demands for automaticprocessing of checks are increasing gradually on the financial field. A series ofpreprocessing problems of automatic processing for check were studied and optimizedin the presented paper, then a kind of check automatic processing system was designedand implemented. The system is able to import one check image, and then cancomplete the entry tilt correction, page segmentation, border removal and otherprocessing, ultimately, the system can identify and store the check identificationinformation by using MODI identify component of Microsoft office. The maincontents are as follows:(1) There are background shadings on a check image and it may be crooked witha certain extent during the scanning process. To identify and adjust the crookedconditions of one check image, the paper adopted Canny edge detection method, thenused Hough alternation method after the analysis of generally used methods of imagetilt correction and different experimental tests result comparison. Therefore, based onthe comparisons of current threshold segmentation and de-noising technology, themethods that including global binary choice and de-noising technology were adoptedto remove the background of check images.(2) There are some red horizontal lines for positioning in the capital amountregion, and there are also black table border fence in the lower amount region of onecheck, therefore, after the analysis of a variety of border removal methods, the paperadopted the method of characters enhancement and background removing to removethe positioning lines, and used binarization method for table processing in lowercaseregion, then using the background analysis and segmentation method to realize the remove effect of table border and single character segmentation and identification.(3) Based on the pre-processing of check images, the paper studied the methodof how to integrate the MODI character recognition component of Microsoft office,and embeded the function in the system, then designed an automatic processing andidentification software for check images. |
