Radio frequency identification is also referred to as RFID, as a Non-contact automaticidentification technology, it exhibits outstanding advantages such as high transfer rate, stronger adaptive capacity to environment, wireless long-distance transmission and so on.RFID tag is composed of chip and antenna. The tag antenna transfers maximum energy tothe chip so as to ensure that the information in the chip can be transmitted to the reader. Theperformance of the antenna system is the major parameter affecting the RFID efficiency. When the impedance of tag chip matches antenna impedance, the antenna can transmitenergy at maximum power transmission coefficient. There are many multi-target optimization problems in the design of the antennaoptimization, such as optimization design of small size high-gain antenna. In the past, weutilized the weighting coefficient method to simplify multi-target optimization problem intosingle target. Polymerization of the multi-objective increases the calculation, and it is notconductive to focusing on the study of impact from certain important indicator of theantenna performance. As a natural evolutionary process simulation, genetic algorithm couldfind out optimal solution, which has become a hotspot in the field of antenna designoptimization. In this topic, non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm is applied to optimizethe design of antenna. The content of this research is to propose RFID tag antenna designing methodoptimization based on optimized genetic algorithm. Including the research on thecharacteristics of the genetic algorithm and its application in the field of electromagnetism.Method has been introduced for improving the selection operation and crossover operationin the algorithm. A experiment simulation was descripted with which the performance ofimproved genetic algorithm can be showed. Finally, based on introducing the performanceparameters of UHF RFID tags, the author analyzed the correspondence between the size ofthe tag antenna with the impedance between the structural parameters, and proposed thedesign technique to realize the rapid miniaturization of simulation and optimizationprogram to design RFID antenna. A meander line dipole antenna was designed to verify theeffectiveness and practicality of optimization design method for tag antenna.
