Radar angle measurement is a very important task of a radar system. Radar needs todetect the distance and angle of the target. The target angle includes azimuth angle andelevation angle. In modern weapons, some of the shells are equipped with radar seekers tocomplete the search, recognition and tracking of the targets. Radar seeker needs to tracktargets and get azimuth angle and elevation angle measured simultaneously, thussum-difference-difference single pulse angle detection method is commonly used wherereceiving antenna requires four feeds. As For the artillery shells will rotate in a high-speedafter firing and keep a high-speed rotation rate in the end of flying, leads to the rotation ofradar seeker. Based on the spin motion of missiles, the paper presents a method utilizingtwo feeds to get the elevation and azimuth angles of target, simplifying the system and isapplicable to certain narrow space radar seeker. The main contents are as follows:1) The composition of the radar signal and basic signal processing methods is studied.Built the composition of echo signal of target with rotating condition, andsimulated the echo signal.2) The theory and method of mono-pulse angle measurement are studied, and proceedthe simulation of mono-pulse amplitude sum-difference angle measurement in thecondition of one single plane.3) Introduced the principle of coordinate transformation, and specified the geographiccoordinate system with vector coordinate transformation equation.4) Introduced the least square method, deduced the algorithm of rotation anglemeasurement, and simulated the algorithm.
