The airborne multifunction radar technology is of great significance in modernaircraft weapon systems. Radar system simulation technology is an important field incomputer simulation technology. So it’s important to study airborne multifunction radarsimulation system. In this paper, based on the research of kinds of working modes in theAir-Air and Air Warfare functions of the airborne multifunction radar, the simulationmodeling design, simulation analysis and overall design are developed and then theairborne multifunction radar simulation system is completed and simulated.Firstly, the operating principle of the airborne multifunction radar is studied. Somekinds of working modes in the Air-Air and Air Warfare functions of the airbornemultifunction radar are introduced.Secondly, the system modeling of airborne multifunction radar is developed andvarious modules are divided according to different functions, including the echogeneration module, IF receiver module, signal processing and target detection module,target tracking module, cenario conversion module as well as control and display module.And mathematical models of the various modules are built while simulation analysis arecarried out respectively.Thirdly, the simulation system is completed based on modeling, includingHuman-Machine interface and output display. And the realization of key sub-modulefunctions are mainly introduced.Finally, the target detection and tracking capability under some kinds of workingmodes in Air-Air function of the airborne multifuncion radar simulation system isverified functionally.
