With the rapid development of modern social communications industry, the increasingnumber of users and the high-speed data transmission has brought great challenges to thewireless communication.The radio spectrum resources are scarce, therefore, how totransfer data in a high speed rate in the limited spectrum resources has become an importantissue for wireless communication. Ultra-wideband (UWB) wireless communication systemgradually becomes a hot topic in the field of wireless communications due to its hightransmission rate, high frequency spectrum utilization and sharing spectrum. In addition,with the pace of human exploration of the universe, space technology is rapidly developing.MB-OFDM-UWB system gives a solution to the data transmission in complexelectromagnetic environment and severe multipath effects of closed metal tank.This paper mainly studies the physical layer of the MB-OFDM-UWB system in closedmetal cabin, and focuses on the key technologies of receiver. MB-OFDM-UWB mainlyuses OFDM technology, so this paper makes a brief introduction to the basic concept ofUWB and OFDM, and analyses the design of main baseband modules, and this paper alsocompletes the BER simulation and performance analysis of the entire physical layer. Then,the paper focuses on the receiver key technologies, including frame detection\symbolsynchronization, channel estimation and equalization and carrier synchronizationtechniques. Among them, an improved multi-channel parallel synchronization scheme basedon traditional sliding window correlation is proposed. This scheme combines the1bitquantification and multipath energy accumulation. Carrier synchronization algorithm usesthe inter-relation of two training sequence to evaluate frequency deviation. Channelestimation and equalization module combines the ZP pretreatment method and the LSchannel estimation algorithm. Meanwhile, this paper also completes Matlab simulation tothe technology, and makes the performance evaluation of various algorithms. Simulationresults show that frame detection\symbol synchronization, channel estimation andequalization and carrier synchronization technology performance meets the systemrequirements. This paper designs the hardware implementation according to the algorithm above. Finally, this paper studies the hardware Modelsim simulation and ChipScope testaccording to the Matlab simulation results of the receiver technology. The test results showthat, hardware designe of this project meets the requirements of MB-OFDM-UWB system,and has a great value on ultra wideband system application in the future.
