| With the application and development of E-learning technology,Personal Learning Environment has caused more and more attentions.Unlike traditional Learning Management Systems which center onpresenting pre-defined educational contents, PLEs enable teachers andstudents to select proper tools and resources according to their needs toimprove leaning effect. The tools and resources in a PLE are widgetswhich implemented with web technologies. However, PLEs face theproblem about shortage of tools and resources. Authors decide to reduceinteractivity, despite its advantages for the learning process.This dissertation implements a system to reduce authoring costs viareusing existing online resources. During the authoring process, authorscan add additional features to increase the interactivity of originalresources. Meanwhile, teachers can assemble these widgets in their coursepage according to their teaching goals.Our system has been implemented and deployed on the School ofContinuing Education of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. According to thesurvey on teachers from the School of Continuing Education of ShanghaiJiao Tong University, our system is proved useful. During the interview ofteachers, we also get suggestions for our future work. |
