| With the rapid development of electrical and electronic industry, andthe rapid rise of radio enterprise, mobile phone not only meets the basicneeds of the call, but also will develop into a “personal mobile intelligentterminalâ€. At present,3G smart phone is all-in-one multi-wireless system, such as Bluetooth(BT)ã€wireless local area network(Wifi)ã€GlobalPositioning System(GPS),and so on. It will bring greater challenge to thealready strained resources of mobile phone main board space, and willcause more electromagnetic interference problems. In the future, theintegration of mobile phone and computer will also make electromagneticinterference problems becoming more and more serious. Therefore, themain work of this paper is how to analyze and solve these problems, andhow to design a high performance product in terms of electromagneticcompatibility. This paper first introduces EMC standards and regulations and brieflyintroduces system block diagram for mobile phone. The third chapterdescribes the signal integrity and the power integrity, such as reflection, crosstalk, rail collapse and ground bounce noise. Then, electromagneticinterference source and interference pattern is analyzed, and thesuppression technology of electromagnetic interference is summarized, including filtering, grounding, shielding and the EMC principle of PCBdesign. After that, the fourth chapter introduces EMC design flow andanalyzes all kinds of electromagnetic interference problems in mobilephone, and provides effective countermeasures. Finally the design principle of coexistence of multiple wireless systems is introduced. In the practical engineering application, this paper will be veryinstructive for the mobile phone hardware design engineer especially RFengineer. |
