Lack of familial affection is one of the important factors affecting the healthydevelopment of left-behind children. Remote interaction platform for affectivecommunication can enhance the user’s participation and interaction effectively, andpromote emotional communication, which has a very important role in solving thecommunication problem between the left-behind children and their parents,alleviating emotional desertification of the left-behind children and making up thelack of affection. With the problem of left-behind children becoming increasinglyprominent, the demand of research on the method and system for remote affectioncommunication has greatly emerged, in order to meet the current wide range of socialneeds.During the process of remote interaction, fusing the objects of remotemultidimensional space into a same space seamlessly, undoubtedly enhance thesystem’s interaction and the user’s participation. Therefore, how to enhance theimmersion sense in object fusion effectively is very important. In order to obtainseamless fusion effect of object in multidimensional space, many experts and scholarsat home and abroad have done some further research on object fusion with consistentillumination and geometry. However, existing methods of illumination adjustment arealways difficult to simultaneously obtain synthetic effects with color featuremaintenance and illumination consistency. And geometry consistent object fusionapproaches have the problem of high operation complexity, poor portability and lowaccuracy, still hard to obtain satisfactory results.In order to improve immersion sense in object fusion of remote multidimensionalspace and enhance interaction of remote interactive system, this work addresses tothe deficiency of traditional space object fusion method, and does some furtherresearch on object fusion with illumination consistence and geometry consistence,and have achieved some success.The main contents of this work include the following three parts:1. For eliminating inconsistent illumination in the process of space objectfusion, an illumination consistent image composition method based on Lab colorspace has been presented, which processes the color and luminance componentseparately, reducing the impact between components while processing the image. Thismethod fuses the image composition method based on Alpha matting and Poisson cloning. This work not only overcomes the deficiencies of these two methods, butalso reduces the complexity of the computation time, makes color transition smoothlyamong the boundary, fully maintains the original color feature and local contrast ofthe source image, and achieves the synthetic effect of consistent illuminationsimultaneously.2. Research on multidimensional space object fusion method with geometryconsistency. Based on depth sensor, this work proposes a new object fusion model ofmultidimensional space based on geometric rules, using very few point acquiredfrom the depth sensor, obtaining the geometry consistent fusion effect of objects inmultidimensional space efficiently and accurately. The proposed method not onlyeffectively improves the accuracy, but also reduces the time complexity, andachieves high robustness at the same time.3. Designing and implementing an immersive remote multidimensional spaceobject fusion prototype system based on depth sensor, which can fuse the object fro mremote multidimensional space, achieve the synthetic effect of consistent illuminationand geometry, and effectively enhance the immersion sense and interaction of system.
