Massive areas slope failure disasters can bury villages, destroy factories, block trafficsand rivers. It has seriously threaten people’s lives and property safety and become one ofthe main natural disasters to national welfare and the people’s livelihood.Undoubtedly,effective and accurate monitoring and early prevention is the most effectiveways to reduce disaster losses and casualties. Aiming at this problem, this paper realizinghigh-precision measurement of the slope with close-range photogrammetry method basedon digital image processing technology. The main research work is summarized as follows:1. This paper summarizes the current common methods of slop monitoring, andanalyzes the advantages and disadvantages of each method and also its limitations.Then thedevelopment of home and abroad of the close-range photogrammetry methods arereviewed,and common slope deformation prediction models are introduced.2. Both digital image processing and the principle of the sub-pixel positioningtechnology are studied deeply. Aiming at application problems of the practical engineeringconditions, this paper proposes a number of solutions, e.g. the selection of hardware and therequirement for the computer system and so on. The measurement accuracy and variouserrors under actual conditions are analyzed in detail, and based on the analyzation,the errorformula is deduced.3. The slope photogrammetry method based on Fixed Points is proposed.To get theaccurate theoretical value for reference,the analog measurement experiment is carried outunder laboratory conditions.Then site measurement is performed on a actual project,andthis paper collects and analyzes the corresponding data. Both the experiment and theengineering test show that the method is simple, it can get accurate data and realizehigh-precision measurement of slope.
