The paper mostly introduces the using of the fuzzy controller in the thermal control.First, the developing survey of fuzzy control is summarized and several fuzzy controlmeasures is introduced, the problems in fuzzy control to be resolved quickly investigatedand the developing prospects are forecasted, then the fuzzy controller design method isemphatically introduced. Thermal objects are at large provided with non-linearity, thelarge delay and uncertainty of the main model and such characteristics. To solve thedifficulties of the diversities of control request and the difficulties in adjusting controlsparameter in the complex thermal control, the paper takes the main stream temperaturecontrol system and cold water heater control system in fired power station for investigateobject, Fuzzy PID control and Fuzzy-Smith control methods are designed to control thetwo systems, and simulate the system using MATLAB, and the system’s performance androbustness are discussed when the controlled object’s parameters change. The simulationresult shows that comparing to the conventional control method, Fuzzy PID can make thesystem parameters better and Fuzzy-Smith is more efficiency to control non-linearity,large delay and changing model, it is validated that the robustness of the two controlmethods is superiors.So the application of the fuzzy controller in the complex thermal control has a betterprospect.
