UWB(Ultra Wide Band) wireless technology, because of its large channelcapacity, high safety performance and high data transmission rate, etc, is widely usedin military. When it is open to civilian use, the technology is favored by manyscholars and businesseman.UWB technology is developed rapidly in recent years, sois the competition with other related technology. MB-OFDM UWB implementationscheme arises in such an environment.MB-OFDM UWB combines the technical characteristics of ultra-widebandtechnology and OFDM technology and achieves faster and more effectivecommunication. In order to guarantee the performance of the whole system notaffected by ultra-wideband channel multipath interference and fading loss, we need totrack the change of the whole channel and proceed synchronized response. So thechannel parameters for it is very important, namely to more accurate channelestimation. This paper studies the traditional way of ultra-wideband implementation and thetechnical characteristics of MB-OFDM UWB way, as well as the experimentsimulation for modulation, launch pulse and other key technologies. Then, the paperdescribles the UWB channel model, including the channel transmission characteristicsand the main channel characteristic parameters, and implements the channelsimulation. Channel interpolation algorithm and channel estimation algorithm areevaluated on the basis of the MB-OFDM UWB way. Channel estimation algorithmincludes LS, DFT and MMSE algorithm. Channel interpolation algorithm includeslinear interpolation, cubic spline interpolation and cubic Hermite interpolation, etc.The advantages and disadvantages of the above estimation algorithm and interpolationalgorithm are compared on algorithm performance. This paper advances a kindof optimal design of pilot frequency pattern based on MB-OFDM UWB system. Thedesign adopts the oversampling technology, namely double Nyquist frequencysampling, and uses the principle of time-frequency sampling rating balance todetermine the optimal pilot frequency interval. The design is validated by simulation. When using pilot information to track channel changes, the bit error rate of thechannel estimation is reduced and better channel estimation results are achieved. Thedesign provides data reference and performance simulation for pilot pattern designand has a certain practical value.
