High frequency and microwave power is one of the basic parameters in electronic measurement. Researching and establishing high frequency and microwave power value transfer system improve national power value transfer system, and ensure traceability and unity of the power value, which have great significance on the development of national defense and science technology. The paper researches deeply the basic principles and methods of measurement of equivalent source reflection coefficient under the condition of system open loop and closed loop. In view of the mismatch of power standard sensor and the commercial power sensor interfaces, direct comparison method is applied to establish33GHz~50GHz millimeter-wave power value transfer system. Research on the effects of adapter upon microwave power transmission and using the efficiency of adapter to correct calibration coefficient reduce the complexity and uncertainty of the calibration coefficient measurement. In addition, the measurement uncertainly of the system is analyzed. By means of evaluating measurement uncertainly, many calibration methods are proposed to improve the calibration accuracy. Due to a variety of power sensors and many measurement frequencies, the universal microwave power auto-calibration system is developed. Software is modular, data interfaces and data encapsulation protocol design, with strong scalability and portability. In view of the insufficient of power linearity measurement method, we put forward closed-loop feedback control mechanism to improve the accuracy of the incident power into calibrated power sensor, which greatly reduces the measurement error. The establishment of33GHz~50GHz millimeter-wave power value transfer system has improved the level of the power sensor calibration and solved the traceability and transmission requirements of the power value within this band. Based on the reliable and credible measurement results, the development and operation of the universal microwave power auto-calibration system has also improved the efficiency of the power sensor calibration, which can be better to serve the social as a result.
