SWIPT is a cutting-edge research field combining wireless power transfer with wireless information transfer,which achieves parallel transmission of information and energy via the same spectrum,thus making full use of the valueless spectrum and power resources.The RF-based SWIPT system has been extensively researched both home and abroad in recent years.By contrast,the ultrasonic SWIPT system was not paid enough attention to,in spite that the ultrasonic waves are characterized by advantages of good directivity,strong penetrability,focused power,no electromagnetic interference and no health risk.Ultrasonic SWIFT has broad potential applications in the field of biomedical engineering and hostile environments such as deep oceans,especially apply to implanted medical devices and underwater sensor network.Thus,Ultrasonic SWIFT is of great research significance and practical value.As for the working mechanism of ultrasonic WIT,modulation modes and channel characteristics are researched,and the influences of multipath fading,doppler shift,reverberation and background noise on the ultrasonic communication are analyzed.Then the mechanical and acoustic mixed analog circuit and its utility in several common electroacoustic transducer are studied based on the theory of ultrasonic transducer.The requirements and methods of designing ultrasonic transducers are also proposed and analyzed.Finally,the architecture of ultrasonic SWIFT system is proposed based on the above two points,which includes two receiver frameworks,SepRx and IntRx respectively.Energy modulation is introduced in IntRx.There are three special cases of dynamic power splitting,namely,TS,SPS and OPS.Rate-energy trade-off schemes are modeled and R-E region is used to characterize the system performance of SepRx and IntRx.Date rate,output power,SER and other key performance indicators are studied by varying channel parameters.The results show that the performance of IntRx is supeiror to that of SepRx in most cases and OPS is the optimal DPS trade-off scheme for SepRx and IntRx with circuit power consumption taking into consideration.
