ABSTRACT: With the development of our country health service, various medical institutions produce more and more medical waste, its risk is also increasing year by year. Because of the serious harmfulness of medical wastes and the blank of monitoring and tracing in hospital medical, indoor location tracking of medical waste has become a problem to be solved. However, by the limit of positioning accuracy, equipment operational environment and cost restriction, medical waste indoor location monitoring has the certain difficulty.Indoor positioning technology is discussed in this paper. Based on the characteristic of signal transmission volatility, indirect algorithm of LANDMARC is introduced instead of direct method of RSSI. Besides that RFID technology is integrated with the analysis and contrast of indoor ranging technology. Indoor location monitoring system is designed for the environment of hospital, and how to increase the positioning accuracy of RSSI-path loss model algorithm and LANDMARC algorithm in a complex environment is studied.Two methods can improve the positioning accuracy and environmental suitability of LANDMARC algorithm. One is changing the distribution of reference tag, the other is introducing the clustering concept to increase the accuracy of selecting nearest neighbors. The results show that the triangle reference tag network distribution has better positioning accuracy in a complex environment than the rectangular network distribution. The improved LANDMARC algorithm based on clustering concept has a better positioning effect in the complex environment and is more suitable for the hospital environment than the LANDMARC algorithm based on the method of changing the reference tag distribution.In this paper, an indoor location monitoring system is designed, which integrates functions of statistics, positioning, tracking and alarming. The design fills the blank of the hospital internal medical waste location tracking, which is of great significance to control the harm caused by loss of medical waste.
