In recent years, a significant progress has been obtained in the development oftwin roll strip casting process. Improvement is still in great need to realize theindustrial application. Twin roll thin strip casting process has been investigated formany years in china. However, there are still many problems have not been overcomewell till now. However strip casting this technology is still immature and the methodof control design for a system of this kind is not well developed because of itscomplicacy with requirements to high precision and fast speed.In the premise to ensure the casting roll gap detection value accurate, How tocontrol the Caster roll gap is twin-roll strip casting process is an important topic. Theroll gap control process exists the change, nonlinear characteristics, In order to meetthe control requirements of complex systems, Based on the theory we propose roughsets-fuzzy PID control algorithm in this article.With the background of magnesium alloy casting engineering center of Liaoninguniversity of science and technology, First, introduce magnesium alloy twin roll stripcasting process and describe the current research. Then, creating the mathematicalmodeling on the casting constant roll gap control system. This paper establishedrelatively complete mathematical model of hydraulic servo system. Intelligent controltechnology is put forward to solve the automatic gauge control system, whichprovides an efficient way. Provide theoretical support for future actual rolling joinedfuzzy intelligent control methods and the introduction of a new concept of hydraulicAGC system.This paper established process parameter monitoring system for two-roll caststrip through the actual working conditions and related detection instrument, andgrasped the Rockwell(AB) company’s industrial equipment, such as configurationsoftware RSView and programming software RSLogix5000. The simulation resultsshow that: Therefore, after joining rough sets-fuzzy PID control, the system hasfaster convergent, smaller overshoot and better robustness. It shows that, this controlmethod is available to constant roll gap control system of Twin roll strip casting. Itlays a theoretical foundation on constant roll gap control system of Twin roll stripcasting of computer simulation for more in-depth study.
