Foam aerosol flammability is an important parameter in its safety testing.Based on the UN proposal for dangerous goods, the foam aerosol flammability isdefined by its biggest burning flame height and duration. The artificial visualinspection method for transient flame and light color flame judgment is inaccurate,low detection efficiency and at great risk. The Foam aerosol flammability detectordeveloped in this paper proposes a sensor array detection technology for the broadspectrum flame height, and the comb structure for stray light suppression is designedon the basis of sensor array detection technology; the detection technology realizesthe accurate detection of combustion flame height and duration. System to themicroprocessor as the core, the flame detection, automatic ignition and environmenttemperature and humidity test multiple modules into an organic whole. Liquid crystaldisplay module, alarm and buttons form the human-computer interaction interface,and write the flame detection algorithm and automatic control procedures, structuralfoam aerosol flammability test system, realized the automation of testing process.In this paper, the main research contents are as follows:1. According to test standard requirements, completed the foam aerosolflammability test system overall scheme design, and described the mechanicalmechanism and implementation of flame detection platform. Based on analysis of thefoam aerosol composition combustion spectral and the stray light suppressionmethods, design the combination sensor solutions and stray light suppressionmechanism;2. Complete the system hardware design and key components selection, detaileddescribe the design of flame detection sensor, main control system, motor controlmodule, human-computer interaction module and environmental testing module. Inorder to reduce the interference from the ignition source for detection, thecomponents selection of motion control module to the system is related;3. According to test standard requirements, using modular design method hascompleted the basic function modules of code, and the flame detection algorithm and step motor motion control algorithm are studied. Foam aerosol flammabilitydetection system is accuracy and repeatability.Designed and developed in this paper, foam aerosol flammability detector afterthe results of several typical sample testing show that the detector on the flameheight and burning duration detection is stability, and the error meet the requirementsof±5mm and±0.1s. The detector greatly improved the efficiency, accuracy andsafety of the foam aerosol flammability test.
