Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) is a wireless communications technology which doesnot employ the carrier but the discontinuous pulse with nanoseconds duration tocommunicate. The wireless location technology based-on the UWB is mainly used inthe short-range wireless communication area, that has the following advantages suchas low power spectral density, strong penetrating ability, high security, highanti-multipath performance, low system complexity, and high precision positioning.So these advantages make the UWB technology plays a more irreplaceable role inpositioning area than others due to its advantages. It is an important programe toresearch the wireless positioning area, which is also important for the development ofUWB in our country,In this thesis, based on ultra-wideband wireless communication theory, thewireless location methods were studied to improve the accuracy of ultra-widebandpositioning, with the special attention paid to the ranging and positioning algorithmand the simulation of ultra-wideband high-precision positioning.1、The simulations of IEEE802.15.4a channel model also find that among thestatistical values of signal fingerprint such as standard deviation, skewness, kurtosis,and maximum slope, the one whose change in magnitude is the most are maximumslope and skewness, that is to say, these two statistical values can best reflect thecharacteristics of the channel. Thus the TOA estimation algorithm based-on the jointparameters of maximum slope and skewness is proposed. This algorithm is suitablefor low complexity, low power fingerprint positioning algorithm and can achievegreater stability and higher accuracy than the kurtosis-based TOA estimationalgorithm and other algorithms such as the maximum energy method and the fixedthreshold method.2、Signal in the communication process may be affected by the reflection,diffraction, multipath, thermal noise, attenuation and non line of sight, etc., which makes the traditional algorithms based-on the geometry relationship is difficult toapply, so the positioning algorithm using neural network with the maximum slope andskewness is proposed. At the same time, the selection of the number of the neurons inthe hidden layer is realized based-on the probability of the mean square deviationwhich further improves the positioning accuracy. The simulation results show that thisalgorithm can achieve high positioning accuracy, and is suitable for use in thecomplex communication environment where the traditional geometry positioningalgorithm can not be used.3、According to the TOA algorithm that based on neural network we design thesimulation software systems, then we introduce the capabilities of simulation software,we compared between simulation results and experimental datathe simulation resultsand experimental measurement data obtained were analyzed with satisfactory results.Comparative results are satisfactory...
