The Research And Development Of Integrated Information System Of Ship Main Engine Based On WIFI

This paper aims at the research of design and development of the integrated informationsystem with indoor and portable remote monitoring of the ship engine’s running parameters, theship is diesel engine of MAN6S50MC-C757000DWT bulk ship. Ship diesel engine is animportant part of the main propulsion unit, which works in the bad environment, withchangeable condition. A delay processing failure of the engine would cause economic losses,even serious safety accident or environmental pollution. To avoid the delay or get theprecognition in advance, the real-time sharing of main diesel engine’s operating parametersshould be realized, so an integrated information system including that is needed.The system mainly collect, process, publish information and monitor the alarm signal of theengine’s running parameters, such as pressure, temperature, rotating speed. With thecombination of sensor, data acquisition technology, computer technology, wirelesscommunication(a WIFI network as the core created by wireless router), the system research haspractical application value, with providing technical support for the modern ships "unmannedengine room", remote management, remote fault analysis.First describe the selection of sensor and signal acquisition and processing technologyrelated to PLC configuration software in the paper, it is the basis of design and development ofthe information system. Then analyze the situation of wireless network signal transmissioninterference and attenuation inside the ship, which is avoided by using wireless router bridgemodel. Finally, apply the system into the actual ship to test verification, the test result shows thatthe system meets the requirements, and has practical application value.
