| In recent years, with the high number of laptop users and the low public awareness ofprotection and the imperfection of the Prevention and Control System, laptop thefts takeplaces frequently, which disturb people’s life greatly. Therefore, the design and research ofMonitoring Anti-theft System for portable devices on the Internet of Things is valuable forguarding against laptop thefts.Taking Embedded System as the control center and taking RFID, GPS and GPRS asthe core technologies, we design an Anti-theft System in present study. The major researchresults include:(1)By analyzing the characteristics of core technologies on the Internet of Things(RFID, Embedded System, etc.,) and the major laptop-sue situation, Monitoring Anti-theftSystem for portable devices on the Internet of Things is designed. The MonitoringAnti-theft System can activate alarm automatically by identifying thefts through the RFIDtags equipped to the laptop and its owner;(2)Two kinds of monitoring system-portable and fixed system-are designed to meetdifferent needs of districts and use situation. Modular design is applied, which can solvehardware problems effectively thus making the system more useful. Considering thefactors such as data processing capability, speed, performance, purchasing channels andetc., LPC1768host controller, nRFID transceiver element, GS-89M-J, MC55tri-bandGSM/GPRS are selected as modules in the study.(3)To make the system operate stably and activate alarm in time for suspectedlaptop thefts, the design is conduced as the following procedure: data comparisonalgorithm and design of delay time is specified in the study based on data reading, datatransmission, case judgment in the tag-processing module; the codes are identified and data are analyzed for process of reading GPS module; the communication process of GPRSmodule is elaborated, and the method of setting time is taken to identify the possible errorsin the process of sending and receiving data. |
