Currently, a large number of surveillance video data is used in all types oftraffic violations investigation. But with the rapid increase in surveillance videodata, problems like "video exists but cannot be found","video can be found butfor too long,,,"service exists but unreliable" still exist in the massive videoapplication service. Arid every year there are still a large number of trafficviolations that cause a lot of traffic accidents and personal casualties. Therefore,it is urgent to improve the usability and effectiveness of the video surveillancedata to reduce the incidence of traffic accidents. According to it, this paperproposed a kind of ontology-based semantic model of the video used In the trafficviolations area, which can effectively improve the effectiveness of thesurveillance video. In this paper, the specific studies are as follows:Firstly, it proposed an ontology-based video semantic model which mainlyincludes objects, concepts, events, time, spatial relations and so on. And it alsomade the formalized description of this semantic information. Then,it applied the ontology-based video semantic model to trafficviolations area and extracted objects, concepts, events, temporal and spatialinformation from the table of the penalty clauses in electronic police enforcementstandards with215violations and builds ontology in the traffic violation area. Finally, it evaluated the validity of the model. Finally, this paper applied the ontology model to the traffic violations area in Nanchang Project, and gave the detailed introduction of specific circumstancesand application platform in Nanchang projects.
