PTC thermistor material is a special temperature-sensitive material.As thetemperature increases,its resistance will turn out a rapid increase.PTC element has threecharacteristics,including specific resistance-temperature characteristics, current-voltagecharacteristics, time current characteristics.Therefore they are commonly used in themanufacture of automatic degaussing components, circuit over-current or overvoltageprotection devices, the delay device switching element, thermostat heaters, temperaturesensors and other electronic circuits devices.After50years of development, PTCthermistor electronic industrial production has become an essential element, but withthe progress of the electronic age, PTC thermistors now face with increasingly highperformance requirement.Compared with traditional circuit-protection devices,PTCRthermal elements have a predominant advantage of Self-recovery capability.This is whythey are widely used in electronic equipment, computers, circuit control,program-controlled telephone switches and lightning protection and other areas.Suchapplications require not only low room temperature resistivity and high lift-drag ratio,but also high resistance to voltage and current impact resistance and othercharacteristicsOn account of PTCR’s application in solar energy battery protection circuit,at theaim of producing high-performance PTCR components with performance of low roomtemperature resistivity,high lift-drag ratio and high withstand-voltage,this article hasrespectively done groups of experiments and made research on recipe andmanufacturing process.Through Y or Nb single donor doping experiment and Y-Nbdouble donor doping experiment,in combination of experiments of processimprovement and heating treatment,we get PTCR components of room temperatureresistivity of11Ω·cm.With adjustment of the addiction of Mn,lift-drag ratio of1.4×106has been achieved.At last,with the adjustment of Ca,the withstand-voltage of PTCR isstudied.In addiction, micro-mechanism is also studied in this article.
