The Research To Application Of Decision Tree In Student Information Management System

Student information management system overages very wide, including educational system, financial system, teaching arrangement system, student performance management system, and so on. All these subsystems control different agencies, and these agencies are independent, which leads to that information cannot be shared; resulting in the management information cannot be taken full advantage of use. To make full use of existing information to manage students, we should develop a unified information administration system. At the same time, a university with a long history has a lot of graduated students, as well as their information. For student’s information administration system, how to use the historical information and transfer the existing historical information into information that can be used to improve school management and school quality now, is an important thing that need to be considered by many schools. To the department of the university, they also need the systems help them make decisions. Therefore, the university must establish a scientific student’s information administration system, applying advanced data mining techniques. Face a so grim employment situation, relying on data mining, they can make a comprehensive analysis of employment information, to find the linked hidden information between students and enterprises. In this paper, we use decision tree and k-means algorithm, training the graduated students’ information, to find hidden information and use these hidden information to help students find their ideal jobs, which is very important.This paper designs the student information management system which is based on decision tree and k-means algorithm, and the main works of this paper contain:Firstly:the design and implement of data mining for the student information management system.1. According to the characteristics of student employment information, this paper improves decision tree algorithm:join the pruning algorithm and cluster algorithm into the decision tree algorithm.2. Verify the efficacious of the improved algorithm with real data.3. Forecasts and guidance the ungraduated students’employment using the result of training.Secondly:In the windows operating condition, design and develop the full student information management system with the C#language, including traditional student information management module and student employment management system based on decision tree what is this article focuses on.1. Design a comprehensive student information management system which faces students, department and career center.2. Develop and test the system.Through this paper, we promote the decision trees algorithm, making it better for the student information management system, and helping students find jobs. At the same time, we use dataset to analyze the algorithm’s result. Then we designs the student information management system based on decision tree and k-means algorithm.
