Design And Implementation Of A Network Flow Monitoring System Based On IPv6NetStream

With the continuing expansion of the network scale, network structure isbecoming more and more complex, people are increasingly demanding networkservices. At the same time, accelerate the implementation of IPv6next generationInternet industry construction, and promote the new network architecture andtechnology research become the urgent matter. Traditional network monitoring systemis difficult to meet the management of IPv6networks. In order to better serve ourcustomers, companies need to timely understand IPv6network carrying business,timely grasp the network traffic characteristics. In this context, IPv6NetStreamtechnology came into being.This paper is combined with the development of IPv6NetStream network flowmonitoring system project. This paper studies the current situation of the developmentof network flow monitor system, describes the concepts, principles and methods ofthe IPv6NetStream technology; analysis of the function and performance demand ofIPv6NetStream system, establishes models of system process; gives the systemapplication architecture design, designs the implementation method of multipledifferent function modules; realize the data packet sampling, filtering, aging,aggregation, output, statistics, and configuration management.Based on the test results of IPv6NetStream network flow monitoring systemshow that the technology can make statistics and analysis of network business flow,timely understanding of various network applications of network bandwidth, theconsumption of all kinds of business network resources and the sources of the Top Nflow in network applications, to detect network bottlenecks, prevent network viruses.The system can effectively improve the quality of network management, achieved thedesign goal.
