Smart AGC can effectively improve the performance of satellite transponder, when applied in its front-end RF/IF circuit; it will also improve the interference suppression ability of DSSS satellite communication system significantly when combined with DSSS technique. This paper makes a thorough research on Smart AGC, and puts forward jamming solutions against communication systems with Smart AGC. The main works are as follows:1. The DSSS system simulation model with Smart AGC is built, and in-depth studies of basic principle are made about Smart AGC technique. The simulation results show that Smart AGC has an obvious inhibitory effect on a variety of common suppression jamming.2. Research on nonlinear characteristics is made of transparent transponder. Then the bit error rate simulations are carried out under the condition of two kinds of interference, the result of which proves that Smart AGC is capable of improving the performance of transparent transponder. Finally an analysis of nonlinear characteristics of Smart AGC itself is carried out to provide some meaningful ideas for interference with Smart AGC.3. Through the analysis of DSSS system receiver and code synchronization loop, a kind of repeater jamming, which Smart AGC cannot effectively suppress, is proposed on the basis of analyzing traditional interference methods. Furthermore, the interference effect is illustrated through simulation.4. The FPGA implementations of Smart AGC module and the interference algorithm are completed in ISE platform inVerilog HDL language.
