Due to the limited perspective of ordinary camera and exorbitant price for professional imaging equipment, panoramic stitching technique is currently a hot topic in image processing. This research can promote the progress of panoramic images of military combat support systems, civil panoramic camera and other technologies. At the same time, image registration is the precondition of image subsequent processing and is the basis of image fusion and stitching. This paper starts from the two aspects of image registration and image stitching, this paper studys the current status of research in deep, and put forward the corresponding processing algorithms, the aimulation and experimental results demonstrate the correctness of the algorithms.Firstly this paper analyzes the advantages and inadequacy of the existing image mosaic algorithms, and analyzes the characteristics, performance and basic steps of image registration methods. It is mainly focused on the study of image registration based on feature point.The algorithm is put forward, respectively to solve the problem that registration speed of large remote sensing image is slow. Advantages and disadvantages of the registration algorithm are discussed in detail. The experiment prove that the algorithm in the real-time have a significant effect in registration.On the basis of the systematic study of image registration, this article is focused on the study of speed, precision and automation degree of panoramic stitching issue.A method of panoramic stitching technique through the registration of partial overlapping is proposed.A wide viewing angle of scene graph is obtained through stitching of a set of image in the same scene.According to features of the single scan and the circular scan panorama imaging system, single-line,multi-line and space stitching algorithms are designed, furthermore the panoramic image has lager horizontal and vertical field.The algorithm can realize disordered image automatic sorting, and the algorithm improve the speed stitching and guarantee the effect.The experiment show that the algorithm is effective.Finally,automatic panoramic image mosaic system is researched and can be well applied to image stitching under complex environment.
