User-centered Design Applied To The Interface Design For Web Sites Of Agricultural Information Service

The construction of agricultural information are highly regarded in the worldtoday,China’s information technology of agriculture has some problems,the websiteservices and contents of various agricultural information services look like the same,These issues lead our agricultural information service to the mess,the reason is that inthe process of the design about the agricultural information website service,thedevelopers did not fully pay close attention to the individual needs and specific natureof the tasks.The paper catch hold of this contradiction to seize how to use the UCD in thedesign of agricultural information service.UCD(User Centered Design) refers:user-centered design approach,and its core is fully done in the design process from theuser ’s needs and characteristics,from the use of the product process,informationarchitecture,habits,expectations interaction,visual perception and other aspects,thedevelopers give enough consideration to the target user about their information needs.The Innovations and the characteristics of this paper is:the research about UCDtheory is widely used in the user experience,web design,information design and otherareas of the Internet,but few researchers associated it with the interface design ofagricultural information service website,in other words,few researchers studied theneeds of the target users and agricultural information service website from the angleof interface design.First,the author studies the definitions of the UCD,discusses theprocesses and methods of UCD in the website interface design.Second, based on thestudy of the history of agricultural information service website developmentcontext.The author analyzes the current situation and problems.Third,on the basis ofqualitative information and quantitative research data,this paper discusses thecharacteristics of agricultural information service users and behaviorpatterns,summarizes the feasibility factors and frameworks in the Agriculturalinformation Service website interface design.Finally,the author tests and verifies thefeasibility of agricultural information service website interface design through thedesign practice in TongDao Autonomous County of Hunan.
