Chinese college graduates face severe employment situation, which caught great attention of social and universities. Internet job search platform facilitate the job hunting and the recruitment. However, the challenge is how to find appropriate job or how to find appropriate staff member in massive information. While, user interest model with context attributes integrated can provide a new idea for further development of personalized recommendation service. So this thesis carries out the research of recommendation systems for employment includes theory research and practice research.In theory research, we improve the current personalized recommendation algorithm with scenario model. Firstly, a user interest model and position preference model are built through VSM method and score matrix with the background knowledge of system development. Then, the improvement of the collaborative filtering recommendation algorithm is given by social net work analysis model. After introducing personal character preference into user interest model, we propose a position recommendation system. We also research on time-based and resource-based recommendation algorithm since user’s recent behavior can better reflect his or her current interest.In practice research, we develop the employment recommendation system for the graduate student based on context-aware technology over the. Net platform with AJAX, JSON and some other technologies. This system is capable for position recommendation, resume management, position information management, etc. Also users can get good personalized recommendation service and spend less time on unrelated recruitment information.The prototype employment recommendation system has been completed and each functional area of the system has been tested. On the one hand, the system provide good platform for the students and HR to manage the process of job hunting and recruitment, effectively meeting the needs of users’. On the other hand, the system provides a better personal information service which is belong to the job recruitment network platform. Meanwhile, the system greatly improves the accuracy and efficiency of job hunting and recruitment.
