The so-called advertising machine is a terminal system broadcasting multimediaadvertisement through monitor which is made up of specialized computer processor. It is anemerging platform of spreading multimedia through Internet and is called the Fifth Mediaabreast of another traditional Four: the Press, Broadcast, Television and Internet. Generally, itis widespread in the public such as the high-grade building, hotel, shopping market, bank,hospital, bus and railway station and airport, spreading multimedia information.Nowadays, with the increasing development of information science technology, however,the traditional conception of Net is no longer limited to the connection among people, butincreasingly extending interconnect between things and man, even among things. Derivingfrom Internet and sensor network, therefore, the newly conception of Internet of Thingscomes into being. The distributed perceptive nods int the net gather information andintercommunicate with each other by communications technology.In this paper, we combine the applying of Internet of Things and advertising machinetechnology, bringing up the conception of Internet-Of-Things Advertising Machine for thefirst time in the worldwide. It is an extending conception of Internet Advertising Machine,tacking on the applying of Internet of Things. It is based on RFID read-and-write system andit takes advantage of Web for interaction with distributed nods with Data Center at the core.In the part of hardware design, we choose the mode of separating reading or writingRFID card and controlling. That means the Reader is responsible for reading, andcommunicates with controller through RS232serial port. The Reader is composed of STM32MCU and RC632reading chip. We choose TCC8900, an AMR11-core processor, as corecontroller, whit embedded Linux OS in it, connected with High Definition Display by HDMIinterface.As for software design, we choose multithreading technique, starting a new threadreading card. At the same time, in display interface design, we choose MVC, short forModel-View-Control, method, which means we use Qt GUI for the displaying interface design, embed Web pages smoothly by its WebView set-up, and leave the task of Internet datainteraction to Web pages. Then the videoplayer is build up by Phonon element of Qt, playingbackground videos.In a word, in this paper, we comprehensively apply communications, Internet andembedded technology, putting the combination of multimedia advertising machine andInternet-of-Things information tracing system into practice judiciously, achieving the effectsof spreading multimedia advertisement and guaranteeing the quality of products. The finalexperiments turn out that the accomplished Internet-of-Things advertising machine meets theexpectative design requirements.
