Research Of Security Gateway In The Femto System

As a hot new technique for emerging convergence of fixed and mobile networks, Femtois the currently mainstream of indoor coverage enhancement scheme. In order to guaranteethe security of Femto system，security gateway is indispensable. In this paper, research ofsecurity gateway in the Femto system is conducted, which mainly focus on its architectureand encryption and decryption processing.It is tedious that the processing between the communication terminal in currently Femtosystem, which cause big business pressure, time delay, packet loss and other issues of the corenetwork equipment. In order to solve such problems, we put forward the improved scheme ofindependent security gateway system by simplifying the business processing flow betweenthe communication terminal and Femto AP. Thus, it reduces the interaction between thecommunication terminal and alleviates the business pressure, packet loss and delay of corenetwork.As more bandwidth is requested when data being encrypt and decrypt via IPsec tunneland the speed of traditional security gateway performance prompting is low, congestion anddelay may happen in security gateway. In this paper, we optimize traditional IPsec processingand then a fast encryption and decryption method of security gateway is presented. Thus,enhances the encryption and decryption processing speed and eases the time delay, congestionand other issues of security gateway.Finally, we introduce the testing mode and carry out the performance test using SpirentCommunication3100B. After analyzing the testing result, it shows that the new schemeimprove the performance of Femto system evidently. Femto system we put forward here hasbeen used as indoor coverage in Guangzhou and many other cities, which cost-effective toachieve the indoor coverage enhancement.
