This paper briefly introduces TCP/IP and the IP security protocol suite IPSec;proposes the construction of VPN gateway with IPSec;analyzes two important IPSec protocols AH and ESP;presents the implementation of IPSec in the Linux kernel;comments on the influence of IPSec on the security of TCP/IP networks.
