The research of FMS has always been a lot of concentration. As an significant aspect ofFMS, FTS also shows a rapid development momentum and achieves for furtherbreakthroughs. This work presents the RFID technology in FTS, which makes moresignificant achievements in the information of manufacturing.The corresponding path planning algorithm of mobile robot has varieties depth andbreadth researches and applications. In this research, D*algorithm is used for free pathplanning and implement by simulating on a PC with Matlab program. The simulation resultsshow that D*algorithm has higher adaptive capabilities of obstacle avoidance, lowercomplexity, faster convergence, higher flexibility and dynamic response.According to the current development of RFID technology and the specific demand ofFTS for RFID technology, a position sensor which is based on the RFID technology isdesigned. The RFID position sensor uses specific MFRC522chip and51seriesmicrocontroller as core components, which have small lightweight, fully functional and stableperformance characteristics. Path planning controller which is based on STM32F10X andcollects the signal transported by RFID position sensor, is designed to achieve a limited pathplanning control. Moreover, the various hardware module unit and PCB layout and routestrategy are explored comprehensively. In the design of the software, the implementation ofBSP layer is illustrated extensively; μC/OS-real-time operating system and μC/GUI areused successfully for transplanting. The creation, dispatch and communications of μC/OS-task are comprehensively analyzed. The process of using μC/GUI to create human-computerinteraction dialog is described to the entire path planning controller which has higherreal-time, simple operability and good compatibility and scalability.Current conditions of Roller conveyors, RFID position sensor and path planningcontroller are used to build a limited path planning experimental platform and the limited pathplanning transportation of materials are completed in this research experiments. The limitedpath planning experimental results show that the limited path planning system is stable, withhigher security and better economic effects.
