With the mass developing of computer technology, database technology andInternet technology, the network application of digital campus has also been constantprogress. Early digital campus used different Integrated Development Environmentand database to develop all the applications. Therefore, this caused every applicationisolated from each other and created a serious phenomenon of information island. Alsothe software developers had distinct design theory and business logic, plus thediversity of system platforms, which caused the lack of business coherence betweendifferent departments. In short, the lack of deeply business data sharing and exchanging,plus the lack of a unified portal information platform led to he campus network can notbe better for the majority of teachers and students to provide quality informationtechnology services.This paper research and design the campus unified portal system that is based onthe background of the existing school network application system. First of all, itintroduced the research background, aim and meaning, portal theory related knowledgeand the key technology of creating portal system about the unified portal platform. Thenit designed the system structure and work process according to the design principles of aunified portal,and it especially designed the presentation layer and application layer ofthe system structure. The presentation layer mainly designed the login page of the portaldesign of the unified portal platform,which was used with the Portal technology, and theapplication layer talked about the two functional modules: single sign-on module andheterogenous data system module.The design of single sign-on module not only included its integrated work moduleand work process, but also it designed the login module, unified user managementmodule, unified identity authentication module and logout module, among which theunified user management module and unified identity authentication module werestressed. The unified user management adopted the grouper management tool andRole-Based Access Control technology. The identity authentication module adoptedunified identity authentication technology based on the central authentication service.Besides all, the paper also designed the security of the receipt and integrated applicationsystem. Heterogenous data integration designed its structure and work process, and themiddleware system layer was designed by its3functional sub modules which weremediator, middle database based on LDAP protocol and Web Service proxies. As themediator’s function is to query decomposition of heterogeneous data sources andsynchronization data control, so when designing and implementing mediator in thispaper, it was divided into query decomposition mediator sub-module andsynchronization control sub-module.The realization of the unified portal system in our school proves that single sign-onmodule realized the once the user logged into the portal and he could visit theauthorized application system function, and heterogeneous data integration modulerealized the share of information, sources and data in the digital campus network.
