In recent years, the ground mobile broadcasting industry’s rapid developmentmakes people get the latest information conveniently, which greatly satisfies thesociety of huge demand for multimedia services. In order to give the user seamlessnetwork coverage and improve the quality of service, the DVB organizationlaunched the DVB-SH (Digital Video Broadcasting-Satellite Services toHandhelds) standard in2008. The standard combines the complementaryadvantages on the satellite terminal and land terminal, based on the GEO satelliteto make the signal realize wide area coverage, for the direct passing signalstransmitting to the building populated place or indoor without reach, making useof ground support base station for signal relay forwarding, So as to realize thedestination of no restriction by time and space, fast and accurate, safe and reliabletransmission of information. Satellite cooperative communication system based onthe DVB-SH standard has become a hot research topic in the field of satellitecommunications nowadays, then the relay strategy and relay node selection insatellite cooperative system is analyzed under this background.Firstly, three typical cooperative communication strategies—AF (Amplifyand Forward), DF (Decode and Forward) and CC (Coded Cooperation) theory areanalyzed based on the DVB-SH standard, the advantages and disadvantages ofthree satellite communication cooperative strategies under the established satellitecooperative communication system model. Combining with the advantages of AFand DF strategy, an adaptive dynamic amplification/decode forward strategy isproposed, there is1.9dB and0.7dB gain comparing with the AF and DF strategywhen the bit error rate is10-4in urban area. It can be seen that the bit error rateperformance and the quality of signal transmission are improved in some extentwithout too much increased system complexity by taking use of the dynamicamplification/decode forward strategy. An opportunistic relaying strategy is proposed, which is suitable to thedynamic network in the multiple relay satellite based on DVB-SH standardcooperative system research, however, when there are many node numbers, themethod of relay node selection process is relatively complex. The OR strategy isimproved for proposing a scheme based on the OPSDF (Opportunistic SelectionDecode and Forward). The strategy’s simulation results and theoretical analysisresults are basically identical when the SNR (Signal to Noise ratio) is large, whichprovides a good help for predicting the interrupt probability by the theoreticalanalysis of the expression. With the increasing number of relay nodes, the interrupt probability curve of OPSDF strategy and the curve of OR strategy are basically thesame, which means that when the relay node reaches a certain number, theinterrupt probability performance is similar. However, the OPSDF strategyrelatively simplifies cooperative process of the OR strategy, which greatly savesthe system overhead, becomes more competitive in the future engineeringapplications.
