Nowadays, electromagnetic environment is being more and morecomplicated.The accuracy target position measurement is a crucial problemwhich must be solved effectively in the domains of navigation, ranging and so on.Real-time multi-target measuring and positioning system is designed to solveaccurate range and position measurement of target in this environment.This paper set the field measuring communication link on the basis of theprinciple of the radio spread spectrum pseudo code pulse ranging, using tdma andcdma of encoding. The system works is response mode. A high-speed digitalprocessing system is designed to solve the problem of real-time processing byDSP(Digital Signal Processing)、FPGA(Field-Programmable Gate Array)andhigh stable clock, etc. The system function of clock synchronization, rangingresponse and positioning algorithm is realized by software-defined radiotechnology. This paper describes a real-time measuring and positioning systemwhich has been developed on the principles of software-defined radio supportedby DSP and FPGA, and presents system equipment design and manufacturewhich is composed of the air transponder and the ground responder. Finally, theair flight test is carried out to verify the ranging and positioning function, whileaccuracy analysis is accomplished and the conclusion is given.This system has the function of air target real-time tracking and positioning.Ranging accuracy is reached to2m and positioning accuracy is reached to5m.This system can complete identification and examination for air targetfunctionality and performance index, and can evaluate the command and trainingability of many kinds and many batches of targets. At the same time, this systemcan be used as a supplementary means in the field of ranging and navigation.
