In order to meet with the expanding needs of the city, the new road network hasbeen changing the pattern of the city quickly. Under the ground, water, gas, sewagepipes intertwined, coupled with the vulnerability management on networktransformation brings network data is missing, which make it difficult to inspectwhether there are leaks, burst pipes manually. With mobile data rates continue todrop, so based on mobile communications network, it is possible to use automaticmeter reading technology solve the water supply pipe network monitoring problem.In the above context, a remote wireless automatic meter reading devicesdeveloped to achieve the actual needs of users. While the signal strength is weak andit is impassable to use the mains power supply in the underground pipe networkenvironment, multi-network standard support and low-power design conceptproposed. The overall design of the program based on in-depth analysis of technicalspecifications and requirements. STM32works as the core control devices,combined with surveillance cameras and3G wireless module to complete thehardware circuit design, which includes STM32control circuit, sensor dataacquisition part,3G wireless module interface section, the analog video signalprocessing section. I verified the operating and standby power consumption intheory. The software designed according to user needs of each function point,including use the serial port to set device parameters, the server-sidesynchronization time and equipment parameters section, check the signal strength ofthe optimal multi-system network part, the video capture part, the picture taken andupload operations and so on.The device was calibrated, the functional and performance testing results showthat the measured parameters achieved the required design specifications, especiallyaccomplished good results in low power consumption. The entire user needs havebeen met, and a small series production has been delivered to users running in goodcondition. Finally, draw the relevant conclusions based on the paper work.
