The Semiconductor Lasers have the advantages of the small size, low cost,long life and selecting wavelength. It is especially suitable for manufacturing theindustrial processing equipment. When the laser is applied to the fields where it isstrictly with the wavelength of the light, the instability of wavelength is the mainfactor to affect its performance and temperature is one of the important variablescan affect the wavelength of the outputting light. So it is necessary to develop a setof intelligent device to control the temperature of the semiconductor laser to make itwork well.According to the power of semiconductor laser, choosing the models of thesemiconductor cooler, then designing the cooling device and taking the thermalcalculation. Taking the Digital Signal Processor TMS320F28335as the controller ofthe system, Platinum thermal resistance as temperature converter to setup intelligenttemperature control system. It transfers the temperature signal into the resistanceand flows through the conditioning circuit and outputting the voltage signal. Thenusing the16-bit A/D converter converts the analog to digital conversion and savingthe result in one register of it. The DSP gets the16-bit result via the SerialPeripheral Interface and then calculating the temperature difference between thereal temperature and the setting temperature and then getting the duty cycle of thePWM wave through the PID algorithm to start the semiconductor cooler. By theSerial ports, the DSP gets the command from the PC and then taking thecorresponding action and showing the temperature line in a vc-based software.
