Heart sounds is widely used to understand the function of the heart. So far,the heart sound detection is mainly classified into two categories: extraction andanalysis of the heart sound signal, research of heart sound detection instrument.Now A few scholars have begun to study heart sound source localization becauseHeart sound source localization can be prevention of cardiovascular disease andprovide more information about cardiovascular disease. Now people do someassumptions for study heart sound source localization. The two examples is thatheart sounds is an ideal point source, and the heart sound transmission medium isthe homogeneous medium. Now most of the research methods for heart soundsuse the array signal processing knowledge or use of the time delay difference.In this paper, starting from the function of the heart, the heart soundgeneration mechanism, the characteristics of heart sound, and finall y with thehelp of phonocardiogram established the mathematical model of the first heartsound and second heart sounds and carry on the simulation work. Forovercoming assumptions about heart sounds in ideal medium transmission faults,in this paper, the chest model and the transmission characteristics of heart soundin chest have been researched. In this paper, the preliminary3D model of thethorax have been set up and the overall framework of heart sound localizationhave been made. The general content is divided into four parts: the chest model,the finite element meshing, acoustic simulation, the heart sound localizationalgorithm.This article focuses the fourth part of the overall framework: using thealgorithm locates heart sounds. Spherical array with symmetrical structure andmore spatial sampling points, three dimensional positioning, so using sphericalarray and beam forming algorithm for sound source localization is a good ideal.In this paper, we study the principle and use regular beam forming, delay-sumbeam forming and minimum variance distortion-less response beam forming forheart sound localization, and the simulation of the response.
