RFID(Radio Frequency Identification,RFID) is non-contact automatic identificationtechnology that realized by means of radio frequency communications.Through radiofrequency signals,RFID can automaticly identify targets and acquire relative information.Ultra High frequency (UHF) RFID technology with the features of long identificationdistance, fast identification speed, high security and long sevice life, has widely used intransportation, logistic, medicine management, animal management and became the hot spotin world RFID technology research. After the analysis on the basic characteristics of UHF RFID technology and theISO/IEC18000-6C protocol standards, this paper determined the whole system designscheme of the Reader. On the selection of main controller and RF transceiver chips, finallyused the ARM7core chip LPC2378as the main controller, AS3992as the RF transceiverchip. The main controller module circuit includs: power circuit, clock and reset circuit,JTAG interface circuit, serial interface circuit and LCD display circuit. RF transceivercircuit mainly includes: low pass filter circuit, power amplifier circuit and the transceiverisolation circuit. The software design includes the main program of reader system, protocolscontrol program, ISO/IEC18000-6C protocol program, anti-collision program and serialcommunication program. The main program is responsible for system scheduling of reader,ISO/IEC18000-6C protocol program control program disposes operating command of theprotocol, the anti-collision program used to achieve anti-collision program algorithm, theserial communication program. After debugging the system, readers setting the power, reading and writing tags and thesystem peripherals interfaces all work well. The whole design goals are reached. Based onthe conclusion of this thesis, analyzed possible problems of the core module and displayedcorresponding solutions.
