An ASP.NET-based online examination system is proposed and designed to meet thedetailed demands and practical situation of business training exams for the major ofcommunication in Changqing Oilfield in the paper. The contents of research are described asbelow:Firstly, the popularization and application of current networks are introduced.Proceeding from the practical demands of business training exams in the major ofcommunication in oilfields, the deficiency of current training methods is analyzed. Also, thebackground, significance and research status domestic and abroad are introduced.Secondly, taking the characters of oilfield communication into consideration, the demandof system development is analyzed. The final functionality of the software is determinedthrough the analyses of system functionality demand, the performance demand and theprocess demand. The paper not only have the objective of universal, but also subjectivequestions on the typical case to analyze the simple questions, analysis questions and audio test.Meanwhile, the overall design of system including the software architecture design,thelogical structure design and the physical structure design are described.Thirdly, the detailed design process of online training&exam system is presented.Mainly, It particularly introduces the database design, the login process design, the systemsecurity design, the administrator features design, the examinee features design, the lecturerfeatures design, the question bank system design and the group volume system design. Also,the add and application of subjective questions,the examinee part submit function,thestatistics&analysis of grades for examinees,the exam time restriction for examinees,themarking function implementation for lecturers and the implementation processes of thedifferentiation for the students with same name are introduced. Finally, the function management of administrator, the functions of lecturer, thefunctions of examinees, repetition rate of system group volume and the maximum number ofusers supported by the system are specifically tested. The testing results show that all themodules are capable of implementing the functions of their own, which means the work meetsthe desired results. After the completion of the software design will also be running status ofthe system in the oil field are described in the local area network.
