B/S embedded monitor terminal based on Web has gradually replaced traditional C/Spattern and become a hot spot in embedded monitor research due to its operating convenience, better portability and higher expansibility. Currently, the research of embedded monitortorminal mainly focus on embedded Web server and its extended function, rarely on embeddeddatabase or embedded Web service architecture. In this paper, a relatively complete B/S embedded monitor service terminal is designedand implemented. It has many functions, such as temperature and humidity acquisition, reserving, supervision and warning. The main work of this paper as below: Firstly, a relativelyintact designing scheme on ARM-Linux platform is given. Along with this scheme, a specificdemonstration on scheme selection from the view of platform architecture and softwareachitecture has also been given, which including the selection in embedded developingplatform, embedded server, embedded database and the dynamic interface. Secondly, thesensors are connected by combining analog and digital method. And the interface circuits aswell as drive programs are given. Thirdly, after transplantion of server and database, a wholepack of CGI programs and some application programs is designed for Web servercommunication and database operation, like query, update and insert. Finally, a Web pagesystem is designed which providing users a UI to connect and control embedded torminal.Extensive test shows that the monitor terminal satisfies the mainly basic requirements ofWeb network monitoring service and running smoothly and effectively. The design andimplementation of this paper provided a reference on B/S embedded service research and canbe a basic model and scheme for future study.
