Spatial spectrum estimation has the virtue of coherent signals DF (direction finding), multi-signals DF and high resolution. The basic principle of some spatial spectrum estimation algorithm such as MUSIC, ESPRIT was described at the beginning, and their performance was analyzed and compared.In order to estimate the DOA of signals in a wide frequency band, Array configuration, methods for eliminating the DOA ambiguity and spatical smoothing for NULA was studied, and the performance between ULA and NULA was compared.According to the applied algorithm and array configuration, system configuration and flow chart of software was presented at the end of this dissertation. Relevant problems about the method of frequency estimation, frequency-direction matching, number estimation of signal sources, channel mismatch and model error was also analyzed. Consequently, an integrated DF solution by spatial spectrum estimation was presented.
