Passive reflector of wide-angle is a passive reflector to solve RCS can not meetwith the minimum detect power for scattering directivity half power beamwidth0.5or3dB.Compare with plate and corner reflectors get wider scattering directivity,andwith metal ball,it has some advantages of smaller size,lighter weight,larger RCS.Inthis dissertation,the characteristic of electromagnetic scattering is summarized,citedthe steps in process of complex targets’ electromagnetic calculation,presented a newmethod for calculation of complex targets with hybrid method infrequency-domain,and a good solution for resolve the contradiction betweencomputational accuracy and computer hardware;The characteristic and designrequirements are summarized by analysis of four quadrant corner reflector;Interactionof complex targets is analysed,combined with local RCS from every scattering centerand influence on the whole scattering from distribution,a wide angle passive reflectoris modeled,and the results showed that not only get a larger RCS,but also range withwider angle of scattering directivity,RCS change smoothly,and meet with the designrequirments of wide angle.The main contents of this dissertation are as follows:1.The background and significance of the study, and the trends of the researchon calculation of electromagnetic scattering and crude passive reflector ofwide-angle.The characteristic of electromagnetic scattering is analysed.This partcontains component of Frequency,Polarization,Directivity,etc.2.The corner reflectors have no obvious difference with the radar responding ofreal targets in time, frequency and space domain, so the choice of the triangular cornerreflector as the main object of study, and electromagnetic simulation softwave basedon Finite Element Method of HFSS as a research tool, through examples prove FEMof lower frequeney to calculating electromagnetic scattering problems effectively, andwith a very high precision.3.This paper design a corner reflector array model, through analysis ofsimulation target, overcoming the angle is norrow for the direction of horizontal andvertical, RCS fluctuation range is less than3dB, meet the design requirement ofwide-angle reflector. 4.In order to solve the contradiction of computation precision and the computerhardware limits for complex objects in the electromagnetic, present a hybrid methodof corner reflectors array’s RCS based on frequency-domain,further illustrates theapplicability of the formula.
