With the development of information technology and computer technology, allthe library works are getting more and more digital and networked. The managementsystem of library has also generated a lot of borrowing data of book. To use these datato improve the management of the library, you will need to introduce data miningmethods. Analyzing and understanding the reader’s interests and needs based on datamining technology, we can provide a strong reference for library managementinnovation, and ultimately improve the level of service of the library and the reader’ssatisfaction.This paper first describes the current situation and problems of librarymanagement, and analyzes the meaning and connotation of the library managementinnovation, and discusses data mining technology definition, functions, process andmethods. Then it has carried on the analysis to the miaosi document managementsystem of library to extract the lending data generated by the system over the pastyear, and mine these data based on cluster analysis and association rules. Finally itanalyze and summarize the results of the data mining, and put forward concretemeasures and plans for library management innovation through book procurementmanagement, collections layout management, books borrowing management.
