Rich marine resources attract people to develop, explore and use. In thebackground of marine development, underwater communication get more and moreattention. Low rate of underwater communication transmission has got a lot ofresearch results, at the same time high speed modulation technology in TV technologyhas been widely used. However, due to the interference of narrow bandwidth,multi-purpose, and reverberation exist in underwater channel, High-speed datatransmission rate in the underwater acoustic environment is a challenging task and tryto achieve a high rate of underwater data transmission with high order QAM is worthexploring scheme. In this paper, the following work:First of all, in this paper, we analysis the technique of MFSK modulation on thebasis of narrow bandwidth of underwater acoustic channel characteristics, finally, wechoose use a high bandwidth efficiency64QAM modulation. Deeply studied thetechnology characteristics of64QAM modulation demodulation, and its main physicalcharacteristics of underwater acoustic channel and the impact on underwatercommunication as well.The second, according to the simulation experiment of underwater acousticchannel and real underwater environment, we discuss the basic theory used in themodulation and demodulation field. Design64QAM modulation and demodulationsolution based on DSP, focusing on design the implementation scheme of some keytechnology, such as demodulation of the synchronization and equilibrium and so on.Once again, we choose digital signal processing chip TMS320VC5509A (DSP)as the core of hardware platform device which suitable for speech processing andwireless communication, and cooperate with other peripheral chips to build hardwareplatform together.At last, for CCS software development platform, the paper designed thereasonable and reliable64QAM modulation and demodulation process, based on the DSP hardware platform realize the function of64QAM information transmission inthe acoustic environment.
