Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in the long history of China, is a preciouscultural heritage of the Chinese nation. It has a unique theoretical system that differentfrom the Western medicine theory. The inheritance and development of TCM cannot dowithout the inheritance and developing of the academic thoughts of some famous olddoctors of the TCM (FODT). It is one of the important research content of TCMengineering to combine the clinic experience with modern technologies the artificialintelligence, through the expert knowledge discovery and use, and design the intelligentdiagnosis system finally.This paper first presents a TCM diagnosis model that based on the knowledgediscovery and use of mass clinical data of TCM. Then we aimed mainly at the knowledgediscovery and reasoning algorithms according to the model. The research work on theknowledge discovery was based on Mr. Liu Fangbai (national FODT) years of clinicalcases. The main research contents: Study on the theory and method of expert knowledgediscovery based on the normalized data bases of original clinic cases. Including two units,first one is visual knowledge, visual knowledge discovery base on the structure chart ofattributes’ poset. The second is algorithm study on the association rules based on themaximum Inclusion Degree of Soft Sets. The former is characterized by the need forpeople to participate, the latter is one of my key research contents. Its feature is that it doesnot require manual intervention. For the first time, we introduced this advancedknowledge discovery method into the medical knowledge discovery of the TCM stomachtrouble cases as the object of study, and found the association rules between stomachdisorders and drug names In the research of decision algorithm based on expert knowledge,A belief rule base inference algorithm based on evidence reasoning method (RIMER) wassimulated. The above simulation results proved the feasibility of the diagnosis systemmodel presented in this paper.
