The Design And Implementation Of The General Conference To Undertake System Website

As the requirement of academic communication, a large number of international anddomestic academic conferences are held every year. With the development of the Internet, itprovides conveniences for holding these conferences. With the Internet, the contractor ofconferences can issue information of the conferences and deal with papers, registrations andother related issues. However, creating a conference site for the conference contractor is aconsiderable burden; therefore, designing an all-purpose website in accordance with the purposeand functions ofconferences has verypractical significance.Based on the analysis of information type, content, demand and distribution forms ofvarious sites of conference, this thesis designes and implements an all-purpose website forconference-holding system. The website is developed based on Eclipse environment andBrowser/Server structure, the webpage system of its front end is developed in Dreamweaver MX2004as the surface part, and the management system of its back end is developed in JSPdynamic websites technology (such as JAVAand JavaScript). The Microsoft SQLServer2000isused as the database platform, and the JDBC-ODBC technology is used to connect the database.With the applicationof JDK and TOMCAT, it is easyto test the system.The system has the following main functions: the creation of the new conference, themodification of the information issued by the conference, the issue of the conference notice andnews, the uploading and downloadingof files, the uploading ofconference’s logo and banner, theissue of conference recruitment, the uploading of conference’s picture, the checking of receivedpapers, the creation of passwords, the checking of sponsor applications, the checking ofattendees information, the online registration for participators, the online submittionofpapers forparticipators, the submittion of sponsor requests, and so on. Experiments show that this systemcan provide support to various academic conferences and make it easy to build the website forthe conference.
