With the development of wireless communication, the bandwise of communication isgetting crowded. In order to improve the utilization of frequency bands, many different kindsof linear modulation technique are used. The RF power amplifier is the most nonlineardevices in the launch system, whose performance directly affects the quality of thecommunication system, so how to design a good RF power amplifier with high performanceis very important. At the same time,more and more linear modulation techniques are beingused,so how to improve the linearity of RF amplifiers is becoming more and more important.Analog pre-distortion circuit has a simple structure,an excellent performance,which is widelyused in the linearization area.This article describes the research status of the RF Power Amplifier and pre-distortioncircuit briefly, meanwhile the feedback and feedforward linearization techniques are described.After that this paper describes the various types of power amplifier briefly. This paper focusedon the design of RF power amplifiers, including the bias circuit、input matching circuit、outputmatching circuit and an interstage matching circuit, simulating the circuit. The poweramplifier works on the frequency of800MHz, small signal gain is about37dB, the outputpower is28dBm, gain compression point appears in of15dBm the input power, finally designthe layout of PA according to the schematic. Then design the predistortion circuit based ondiode reverse balance,which predistorted point of input signal is0dBm, the circuit can makethe linearity of the amplifier improve20dB, while design the layout of predistortion circuit.
