Research On Present Situation Of Independent Colleges In Jiangsu Province

Being a new type of regular higher education, independent colleges have experienced a whole decade since it was built in 1999. Independent colleges has explored a series of problems during this period, which is mostly related to teaching management, curriculum setting, talent cultivation, and so on. Being a new type of regular higher education, independent colleges have most things in common with other colleges, taking the task of cultivating undergraduates. Being an optional course, no one can deny the effect of physical education. In my inspection assessment of the higher education, physical education plays an important part, as well as physical courses. The sand or fall of public physical education has a direct influence on the reputation and quality of a college.My essay is a delicate research and analysis based on the similar problems on condition guarantee, curriculum, management, teachers and teaching effect, which is mostly related to teaching management, curriculum setting, talent cultivation, and so on. "criterion and measure of assessment in regular higher education of Jiangsu province").my findings are as follows:1、Most of the colleges are following the three class pattern (Academy-department-bureau); physical education investment, sports appliances are from students’tuition fare, investment from their college or government, sometimes they depend on local companies.2、The setting of course are single, less and comparatively concentrated; it is the final score rather than procedure assessment that matters; independent colleges take part in extra-class activities less frequently, short-term and dispersive.3、The 22 independent colleges all have their own books, however, teachers mostly use electronic teaching plans, with a low utility of mess media.; research of teaching on physical education is a bit better than other subjects. 4、Among professional physical educators, majority are young and middle-aged ones, which leads to lack of science and technical research and difficulty in technique post assessment, in turn contributing to a low payment and low frequency for further education.5、Almost every independent college can meet the need of students, with a high rate of attending. But the problem lies in the difference between colleges’ arrangements and students’requirement; students in independent colleges have a so-so health condition. Colleges don’t pay much attention to training, while they concentrate on some sports related to beauty and rhythm.It is rare that Jiangsu province or other places in china do such research. My essay aims at researching and analyzing the current situation of independent colleges, concluding the factors limiting the development of physical education in independent colleges of Jiangsu province, offering relating department some references to the blue print of independent colleges.
