| Xiong Ming-an, as one of the famous modern educational historians, playing an important role in promoting the Construction and development of Chinese educational history discipline. Dedicated to educational research and practice, He expanded the research object of Chinese education history and put forward new research methods. On the basis of rich educational practice, he formed his unique Historiography of Education.His educational thought is rich in content and complete in system, which covers the nature and value of educational historiography, object and content of the discipline, as well as research method and future development. He released his view on the aforesaid aspects, thus constitutes the system of his educational historiography.This paper mainly adopts literature research and educational survey method. Through collecting, reading and analyzing the literature and documents about him, outline his historiography of education.Through interviewing with him, in a deep communication and discussion, which enrich and deepen the understanding of his historiography of education.This paper selects his Historiography of Education as the research object from the following aspects: Xiong Ming-an’s life and the formation of Historiography of Education, the system of his Historiography of Education, the specific contents of his Historiography of Education, the characteristics and contribution of his Historiography of Education, the inspiration of his historiography of education.Through research on Xiong Ming-an’s educational historiography, we found that he has unique insights into educational historiography, which could be concluded as “realistic and pragmaticã€pioneering and innovativeâ€. He expanded the research paradigm, Conform to the trend of research downward, advocate research orientated to practice. He innovated research methods, and advocated the research of Chinese educational history in multi-level and different perspective, which reflected his lasting pioneer spirit in academic research. Based on the comprehension of educational history discipline, he explored a new way of educational history research, which has an influence on the development of educational history discipline.Xiong Ming-an’s educational historiography has its rich connotation, in a special times and certain innovation, which would play a role in “Taking history as a mirror, Making the past serve the presentâ€, thus would have an inspiration on the discipline of educational history and reference to current educational reform. |
